Recent Review: Well researched life of "Unbeaten" submarine
'This factual book is well constructed and gives a fine account of the life of Unbeaten and her crew. It is chronological from the boat's build in Barrow-in-Furness to its loss. It is brilliantly researched. The book, though factual, is not dry or boring, but the author fills in the war in general at the time. I thought it was well versed with the Second World War, as the narrative of this submarine is expanded to include other facts of the time. Some are totally new to me and I found the book enthralling'.
